Caravane Films Productions is a non-profit organization created in 1995 by a group of young media artists from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

Les Productions Caravane Films is a Quebec-based non-profit organization that aims to introduce, promote and develop short film as a unique cinematic art form. Caravane’s skilled, passionate team offers a wide array of high quality creative products and services, including the REGARD sur le court métrage au Saguenay festival, geared towards film buffs, short film professionals, students, and artists as well as people eager to discover exciting new trends.

The REGARD sur le court métrage au Saguenay Festival

REGARD sur le court métrage au Saguenay takes place in March, in the heart Quebec’s winter season. This competitive and always convivial Festival gives directors the opportunity to show their work and exchange ideas and opinions with the public as well as with short film industry professionals. The event, held in the region of Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean, is a meeting-place that focuses on the new generation of Quebec and Canadian short filmmakers and how their talents are viewed in an international context.

Over the five days of the festival, over 150 short films will be presented to an ever-growing and ever-diversifying audience. In addition to its regular programming, REGARD features a series of special programs and activities, making it the biggest festival dedicated exclusively to short film in Quebec.
