Meeting with cinematographer Steve Asselin and colourist Nico Ilies

From conception to post-production, cinematographers, technicians and colourists play an integral part in creating a film's signature aesthetic, especially when trying to translate a story into images. If you're passionate about the visuals of film, meticulous about composition, and discerning of light and colour, here's the workshop for you! This meeting/discussion takes you through the ABCs of the work of cinematographers and colourists, and provides comprehensive and detailed information about each profession.
Steve Asselin, cinematographer. Québec-Montréal (2002), Mémoires affectives (2004), Saints-Martyrs-des Damnés (2005), Délivrez-moi (2006), Borderline (2007), Un été sans point ni coup sûr (2007), Dans une galaxie près de chez vous 2 (2008). Steve Asselin is passionate about cinematography. He also frequently works on television shows, videos and ads.
Nico Ilies of Technicolor, winner of the 2004 daVinvi« Master Colorist » award will share his post-poduction experiences. Co-worker of Steve Asselin, Nico Ilies has acquired a huge working experience with renowned cinematographers from Europe, USA, and Canada in business such as : Alliance Atlantis, Cinar Studios, MGM Studios, Sony Pictures and many others.
